Own your digital life without giving up convenience.

A one-time, in-person setup service in Kitchener-Waterloo and the surrounding area: your own domain, domain-based email, synced contacts and calendar, and independent photo backup — connected to your phone and laptop so they work every day.

Ownership without another lock-in

The goal is not to replace one dependency with another. You own the accounts, the domain, the credentials, the data, the backups, and the handoff documentation — including how to leave. And if the setup is not working for you within the first 30 days, I’ll help you move back.

Why this matters

When a big provider locks you out, there is no one to call. Google flagged a father as a criminal over photos his son’s doctor had asked for — the police cleared him, but Google never returned his decade of email, photos, and his phone number. Thieves who watch you type an iPhone passcode can take over your entire Apple account — victims were told that without a recovery key there is no way back in. When your email, contacts, calendar, and photos live at your own domain, on accounts registered to you, no single company can take them away.

For people who want more control

This is for technically curious people who want more ownership over their digital life but do not want to spend several weekends configuring domains, DNS, email, sync, and backups themselves. You should be willing to learn how your setup works.

The setup is done in person, on your actual devices — so the first pilot is limited to a small number of clients in Kitchener-Waterloo and the surrounding area.

A pilot setup is $900. It grows by word of mouth: every client you refer who books a setup gets you $100 back. Ongoing costs are about $15–20 a month in domain, hosting, and email fees — paid directly to the providers, not to me.

Every setup includes

  • Your own domain, registered in your name.
  • Email at your own domain.
  • Contacts and calendar sync (open standards).
  • Photo backup with Immich.
  • Password manager setup.
  • Setup on your phone and laptop.
  • Documentation, walkthrough, and recovery handoff.
  • 30 days of stabilization support.

Your new email address starts fresh; your existing accounts stay yours, and moving old mail over is not part of the setup. Maintenance and support after the 30-day stabilization period are per-incident or a small monthly plan.

Start with a short email

If you want more ownership over your digital life and are willing to learn how your setup works, send a note about what you want to change. Most people arrive here by referral — if someone sent you, mention who, so they get their $100.
